DR. LACY BALLIS
Dr. Lacy Ballis is the proud owner of Waterloo Vets. Originally from Houston, Texas, she attended The University of Texas at Austin for her Bachelor’s degree where she met her husband, Derek. Shortly after, they moved to Baton Rouge where she attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Ballis’ clinical interests include dermatology, nutrition and endocrine disorders. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two young children, Addison and Banks, wakesurfing on lake Austin and jogging all of Austin’s trails.

Dr. Jason Kingstad
Dr. Jason Kingstad is originally from Wisconsin but has called Austin home for many years. His passion is advanced surgery and dentistry. After graduating from St. Matthew's University, Dr. Kingstad pursued additional training in veterinary dentistry, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, recognizing how crucial oral health is to the overall well-being of pets. Outside the clinic, you can find him kiteboarding on Lake Travis, enjoying Austin's culinary scene or traveling the world with his wife, Hannah, who is a teacher at Westlake High School.

Dr. Zee Mahmood
Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Zee attended Penn State and St. Matthew’s University with clinical rotations at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His professional interests include soft tissue surgery and complex internal medicine, particularly working through challenging diagnostic cases. His interest in integrative medicine is growing, with expanding training upcoming in veterinary acupuncture and herbal medicine. He also has a special interest in ophthalmology and recognizes the important role vision plays in a pet’s comfort, confidence, and quality of life. Dr. Zee is a registered referral veterinarian with ViaGen Pets, supporting clients interested in genetic preservation and pet cloning services. As a Fear Free Certified veterinarian, he celebrates the human-animal bond and strives to make veterinary care a comfortable, positive experience for both his patients and the people who love them.
